Description: Rare earth ferrosilicon is massive, metallic luster, hard and brittle, easy to crush. The rare earth ferrosilicon alloy is silver gray. Rare earth ferrosilicon alloy generally contains RE 17% - 37%, Si 35% - 46%, Mn 5% - 8%, Ca 5% - 8%, Ti 6%, and the rest is iron. Rare earth ferrosilicon is made from coke, steel scrap, quartz (or silica) by electric furnace smelting. Silicon and oxygen are easy to synthesize silica. Therefore, ferrosilicon is often used as deoxidizer in steel refining. At the same time, due to the large amount of heat released during the formation of SiO2, the energy consumption of steel refining can be increased at the same time of deoxidization.

Used: Rare earth ferrosilicon alloy can refine grain size, and proper amount of rare earth ferrosilicon can improve the morphology of eutectic carbide in high chromium cast iron. When 0.3% rare earth ferrosilicon is added, the long strip carbide becomes shorter and the eutectic carbide is broken. When the content of rare earth ferrosilicon reaches 0.9%, the lath carbides become shorter and tend to be isolated and evenly distributed, but there are still some lath carbides. However, when the content of rare earth ferrosilicon exceeds 0.9%, the eutectic carbide begins to coarsen.
