Product Description

Cerium(IV) Hydroxide Ce(OH)4 CAS 12014-56-1 For Exhaust Gas Purification Catalyst

Name: Cerium(IV) hydroxide                                           Molecular formula: Ce(OH)4

CAS: 12014-56-1                                                             Molecular weight: 208.15

Description: Cerium hydroxide is light yellow or brownish yellow powder, insoluble in water and weak acid, soluble in concentrated acid, and generates corresponding salt. Absorbing carbon dioxide in the air to produce cerium carbonate. The mixed light rare earth ores were roasted by sodium carbonate and leached by dilute sulfuric acid to obtain the leach solution of rare earth sulfate. Potassium permanganate and borax were added to the leach solution. The solution of tributyl phosphate (TBP)-di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (P2O4)-kerosene was used as the extractant to separate cerium and other trivalent rare earth. Cerium hydroxide was prepared by back extraction with sulfuric acid, adding sodium sulfate to the raffinate to form double salt precipitation, filtering, washing, adding sodium hydroxide to transform, filtering and drying.
