Product Description

Tungsten(VI) Oxide WO3 CAS 1314-35-8 For Cemented Carbide and Powder Metallurgy

Name: Tungsten(VI) Oxide, Tungsten trioxide                                         Molecular formula: WO3

CAS: 1314-35-8                                                                                       Molecular weight: 231.84

Description: Tungsten trioxide, also known as tungsten oxide, has the chemical formula WO3. Light yellow triclinic powder crystal. When the temperature is above 740 ℃, it transforms into an orange tetragonal crystal system, which returns to its original state after cooling. Stable in air, with a melting point of 1473 ℃, a boiling point above 1750 ℃, and a relative density of 7.16. Tungsten trioxide is the most stable type of tungsten oxide, insoluble in water and inorganic acids other than hydrofluoric acid. It can dissolve in hot concentrated sodium hydroxide solution and ammonia water to form soluble tungstate salts. When the temperature is above 650 ℃, it can be reduced by H2, and at 1000-1100 ℃, it can be reduced by C to obtain tungsten powder.
