Description: Lanthanum fluoride is a white powder insoluble in water, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, but soluble in perchloric acid. Stable in air. Ammonium fluoride produces NH4FLaF3 insoluble double salt.The preparation method is to add hydrofluoric acid to lanthanum salt solution, or to prepare hydrated lanthanum fluoride from lanthanum hydroxide and hydrofluoric acid, and then to get lanthanum fluoride by vacuum heating.​
