Description: Yttrium fluoride is a white powder, insoluble in water, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, but soluble in perchloric acid. It is relatively stable in the air and forms insoluble complex salt with ammonium fluoride. The chemical preparation method is to dissolve yttrium oxide in hydrochloric acid, heat the solution to 70-80℃, and then precipitate with 48% hydrofluoric acid. The precipitate is washed, filtered, dried, crushed and dehydrated in vacuum to produce yttrium fluoride.
