Bismuth Metal Bi CAS 7440-69-9 For Low Melting Point Alloys
Name: Bismuth Metal, Bismuth powder Molecular formula: Bi
CAS: 7440-69-9 Molecular weight: 208.98
Description: Bismuth is silvery white or reddish metal, with metallic luster, brittle hard, rhombic crystal system coarse grain crystal. Soluble in hot sulfuric acid, nitric acid, aqua regia, slowly soluble in hot hydrochloric acid, insoluble in water. It is stable at room temperature and burns in a light blue flame when heated to form yellow or brown bismuth oxide. The volume of molten metal increases after condensation. Bismuth exists in nature in the form of free metals and minerals. The minerals are bismuth pyroxene, bismuth bloom and so on. Bismuth metal is obtained by calcining the mineral into bismuth oxide and then reducing it with carbon. High purity bismuth can be obtained by Pyrorefining and electrorefining.
|property||Silver-white needles or powder|
|Application Area||It is used for the preparation of low melting point alloy, semiconductor high-purity material and high-purity bismuth compound. Used as a coolant in an atomic reactor.|
|package||Conventional packaging, flexible packaging according to customer needs|
Packing: topical 25kg / bag or 50kg / bag Conventional packaging, also provided small package: 100g, 200g, 500g, vacuum small package.
Used: It is used for the preparation of low melting point alloy, semiconductor high-purity material and high-purity bismuth compound. Used as a coolant in an atomic reactor. Adding bismuth to steel, aluminum, magnesium and bronze can improve the machinability and wear resistance. Bismuth and aluminum, tin, cadmium, indium constitute a series of low melting point alloy, making electrical appliances, insurance, automatic device signal device, etc. Bismuth tin alloy bullets are used instead of lead bullets. It is used in thermoelectric couple, low-temperature thermoelectric power generation and thermorefrigeration. High purity bismuth is used as a heat carrier or coolant in the nuclear industrial reactor and as a material for the protection of nuclear fission devices.
