Description: Niobium is a soft gray silver metal similar to freshly cut steel. Because of niobium oxide thin coating, it will not change color at room temperature or oxidize in air, but it is easy to oxidize at high temperature (higher than 200°C), especially by oxygen and halogen. Niobium is the 33rd most abundant element in the earth's crust and is considered to be a rare element. It does not exist in the form of free element metals in nature.
