Description: Niobium oxide is white powder, insoluble in water, insoluble in other acids except sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid, and soluble in carbonate and hydroxide of molten potassium bisulfate or alkali metal. The preparation process is to dissolve niobium material or crude niobium pentoxide into niobic acid through the mixture of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid, extract niobium by the mixture of strong acid and methyl isobutyl ketone organic phase, and then reverse extract, react with ammonia water and niobic acid to generate niobium hydroxide precipitation, and then wash, dry and burn to obtain refined niobium pentoxide.
