Description: Cerium Oxalate is a white crystalline powder, odorless and tasteless. The anhydrous salt is monoclinic columnar crystal. The density of drying in vacuum is 2.2413 g / cm3. The water salt loses 8 molecules of crystal water at 110 ℃. It is insoluble in water, ethanol,, alkali hydroxide solution, oxalic acid solution and alkali solution; it is soluble in dilute sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, but insoluble in water. Cerium Oxalate is mainly precipitated by adding oxalic acid or oxalic acid-base metal salt to cerium trivalent salt solution. Or heating the hydrochloric acid acid solution of ceric ammonium nitrate (tetravalent), and then reacting with oxalic acid to prepare.
