Description: Gadolinium sulfate is a colorless crystal, and its octahydrate is a colorless monoclinic columnar crystal. When heated to 400 ℃, no water can be obtained. Slightly soluble in hot water, more soluble in cold water. The solubility in water decreases with the increase of temperature. Stable under normal temperature and pressure. Gadolinium sulfate is produced by the reaction of gadolinium oxide, hydroxide or carbonate with hot sulfuric acid solution.
