Description: Lanthanum sulfate is the most common octahydrate, colorless salt is hexagonal crystal, dehydrated at 500 ℃, alkali salt formed at 700 ℃, and various sulfate double salts can be formed with alkali metal sulfate. La (HSO4) 3 is formed in sulfuric acid and sulfide is formed when heated under the flow of hydrogen sulfide. The solubility in water decreases with the increase of temperature and is insoluble in acetone. When lanthanum hydroxide or lanthanum oxide is dissolved in sulfuric acid, lanthanum sulfate hydrate can be obtained. Then, when lanthanum sulfate hydrate is slowly heated, the anhydrous lanthanum sulfate can be obtained.
