Description: Erbium can be made into various forms: Erbium Foil, Erbium block, Erbium powder. Erbium is antiferromagnetic at low temperature, strong ferromagnetic at near absolute zero, and then superconductor. Erbium Metal can be prepared by reduction of anhydrous erbium fluoride with metallic calcium. In a vacuum induction furnace, a little excess of metal calcium chips or calcium particles are mixed with erbium fluoride, and then they are put into a tantalum crucible. Then they are put into a vacuum induction furnace to start vacuumizing and slowly heated to 400-600 ℃. After deep degassing, the purified argon is filled in, and the temperature rises to 800-1000 ℃, and the reduction reaction of the charge begins obviously. Then, the temperature is raised to 1500 ℃ and kept for 10-15 minutes, so that the metal and slag can be melted and separated from each other fully, so as to obtain a dense ingot, which is called metal Erbium.
